2 Aurora Schools go on lock-down

08/12/14 Aurora, CO – Two Aurora schools went on lock-down for a brief period of time this afternoon as Aurora Police and school security officers pursued two young males from the area of Hinkley High School into an adjacent neighborhood.  The dramatic scene unfolded in the area of East Colfax Ave. and Chambers Rd. around 2:30PM this afternoon.  Both Hinkley High and neighboring East Middle School were locked down for about 30 minutes as cops chased the two young men.  At least one of the young  males was believed by police to be possibly armed so the cops took no chances taking both young men into custody at gun-point.  The foot chases took place near the Kmart store at Colfax and Chambers, just blocks from both schools.  No injuries were associated with the incident.  Both schools were released of lock-down status around 3PM today when the two young men were taken safely into custody.  Shane Anthony reporting AuroraNews1.com
