01/19/15 Aurora, CO – At about 3:30 PM on this date a serious auto vs. pedestrian accident occurred at the intersection of E. 1st. Ave. and N. Havana St.  According to Aurora Police a gray Mitsubishi Lancer sedan was traveling north on Havana in the left through lane.  The pedestrian was on the northeast corner of the intersection.  Police say it appears that the pedestrian was trying to get the attention of a southbound bus and ran out into the northbound lanes of N. Havana St.  The pedestrian was struck by the Mitsubishi.  Police further say that witnesses stated that the Mitsubishi had a green light and the right of way.  The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital with significant injuries.  Police also state that it does not appear that speed or alcohol were factors in the accident.  Shane Anthony reporting AuroraNews1.com
