2 car injury crash closes both directions of East 6th Ave. at Kenton St. 02/04/15

02/04/15 Aurora, CO – A serious damage 2-car crash with injuries closed both the east and westbound lanes of East 6th Ave. this evening at N. Kenton St.  (just east of Havana St.)  The crash occurred around 6:10PM this evening sending at least 1 person to a local hospital.  Aurora Police traffic investigators spent about 2 hours sorting out the scene.  1 person reportedly had a broken ankle.  The accident covered both the east and westbound lanes of 6th Ave. and made for traffic detours in the area for about 2 hours.  Police at the crash site stated that the injuries would have been much worse were it not for modern safety equipment in the cars.  No other information is available as of this writing.  Shane Anthony reporting AuroraNews1.com

    Airbags and seat belts! Here is a perfect example of why they work. Without either, this accident could have easily been a fatality. Buckle UP!!!
